Celebrating a Simple Life

We invite you to 'A Simple Life', a place where we bring you beautiful things from nature's gift and from the soul of the peaceful old ways of living.

For us a simple life is a beautiful life and a beautiful life is a simple life.

The natural and the wilderness have always been the neighbors of the country folk, with their simple lives. Simple, but healthy, deep, truthful, quiet and meaningful, even if somewhat tougher than what people are used to, these days.
Using from nature only what they needed, our ancestors had a deep understanding of the natural rhythms, living in harmony with and giving the proper respect to the entirety of God's Creation. They truly were wise and free, healthy and humble. They had great knowledge and organic skills, passed from one generation to the next, on the use and benefits of all the gifts from nature, their many purposes and forgotten virtues.
They knew the use of stone to make a foundation or a stove or a stepping stone; they knew how to make a very useful tool from a broken branch, they knew how to carve higher meanings in naive but beautiful decorations, embellishing even their most usual and common things: tools, gates, furniture, cloth, pottery; they knew how to harvest and cook and use remedies from the great vastness of nature; they were amazingly creative and organically sustainable in all they did. Nothing was wasted, nothing was neglected, nothing was meaningless. They put their soul into everything they did. And we have learned from them to value and treasure this way of living. And here we hope to bring, little by little, this celebration of a simple life to you.
"It is no bad thing to celebrate a simple life!" (J. R. R. Tolkien)
